From October 23 to November 1, 2025, our Baark! team carried out two successful spay and neuter clinics on Eleuthera, completing 356 surgeries for dogs and cats. This achievement brings us to more than 2,300 animals sterilized on Eleuthera in just four years, reflecting the impact of sustained, community-focused animal welfare work. Our veterinarians, volunteers, and local partners worked from sunrise to sunset to ensure every animal received the care it needed.
Even more meaningful than the numbers is the cultural shift we’re seeing across the island. Communities that once felt overwhelmed by the stray animal crisis are now engaged and proactive — bringing in their pets, spreading the word, and embracing compassionate care. The trust, cooperation, and gratitude from Eleuthera residents continue to inspire us. These clinics show how long-term commitment and partnership can reshape an island’s relationship with its animals — made possible by the generosity of our supporters.
