What is a MASH Clinic?

A MASH clinic is a temporary spay or neuter clinic we set up for 1 – 5 days. We find a location in a community we want to target for spaying and neutering. Baark! learned our skills of putting together MASH clinics from Animal Balance.

Why MASH?

There are great benefits of hosting MASH Clinics.

1. Connection with the community

The greatest benefit of a MASH clinic is our close connection to the community. The local children come around and help out making it one of the best education opportunities.

2. High Volume

The temporary clinic is set up as a well oiled assembly line. The veterinarians are able to focus solely on surgery while volunteers gather, prep, recover and return the dogs and cats.

3. Easily accessible for pet owners

People are able to walk their dogs and cats to the clinic and we are able to quickly gather pets in the neighbourhood so not a lot of time is wasted on driving.

This video shares a great story from one of our MASH Clinics

Who MASH’s?
