
Operation Potcake is a coalition that formed in 2012 when the Baark!, the Bahamas Humane Society, the Veterinary Medical Association of The Bahamas, Ministry of Agriculture, and Animal Balance joined forces to put together an intensive spay and neuter program for New Providence. Although Operation Potcake has not been ‘active’ since 2016 we wanted to let our readers know about this incredible work that was done and that Baark! has continued to work towards this vision.

Operation Potcake is a coalition that formed in 2012 when the Baark!, the Bahamas Humane Society, the Veterinary Medical Association of The Bahamas, Ministry of Agriculture, and Animal Balance joined forces to put together an intensive spay and neuter program for New Providence.
Although Operation Potcake has not been ‘active’ since 2016 we wanted to let our readers know about this incredible work that was done, that Baark! has continued to work towards this vision AND that we hope to have future Operation Potcake efforts when the stars align again.
In January 2013 Operation Potcake spayed and neutered 2,315 dogs and cats in 10 days at 5 different clinic locations.
In February 2014 Operation Potcake spayed and neutered 1,211dogs and cats in 5 days in New Providence.
In January 2015, after the 2015 Canine distemper outbreak, we focused solely on cats and did 406 surgeries.
In 2016 Operation Potcake did a weekend clinic in Georgetown Exuma and a weekend Cat Clinic at the BHS.
