The Baark! Team travelled to Perfect Day at CocoCay to Carry out a 2-day TNR Initiative.
At the beginning of May, the Baark! team travelled to Perfect Day at CocoCay to carry out a two-day Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiative for several well cared for community cat colonies. During the mission, the team successfully sterilized 46 cats, including 16 females and 30 males, helping to humanely manage colony populations and improve the long-term welfare of the cats living on the island.
These colonies are already supported by dedicated caregivers who ensure the cats are regularly fed and monitored. By implementing TNR, Baark! helps prevent further overpopulation while reducing future suffering and improving overall health outcomes for community cats. TNR remains one of the most effective and compassionate approaches to managing free-roaming cat populations.
Baark! is incredibly grateful for the warm welcome and collaboration throughout the initiative and is proud to partner with organizations that share a strong commitment to animal welfare. Missions like these are only possible through teamwork, community support, and continued investment in spay and neuter programmes across The Bahamas.
